How long is crab dip good for in the fridge?

Crab dip will stay fresh in a covered container in the fridge for 3-5 days.

Can I freeze crab dip with cream cheese?

Yes! You can freeze this crab dip even with cream cheese, but keep in mind that the texture and consistency may change slightly. Thaw in the fridge the night before you plan to serve it and give it a good stir after reheating in the microwave to recombine the ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons dried minced onion
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons white wine or white grape juice
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper, optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce, optional
  • 2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, cubed
  • 1 pound imitation crabmeat, chopped
  • Assorted crackers or fresh vegetables

Directions

    In a food processor, combine the first 8 ingredients. Cover and process until smooth. Transfer to a large microwave-safe bowl. Stir in crab; mix well.

    Cover and microwave on high until bubbly, 2-3 minutes. Serve warm with crackers or vegetables.
