Crispy Baked Mozzarella Sticks
I'm particularly fond of these tasty mozzarella sticks because they're baked, not fried. Cheese is one of my family's favorite foods. Being of Italian descent, I cook often with ricotta and mozzarella cheeses. —Mary Merchant, Barre, Vermont
Mozzarella Sticks Tips
How else can you cook mozzarella sticks?
Air-fryer appetizers are really convenient. These mozzarella sticks can be cooked, even from frozen, in an air fryer at 400° for 4-6 minutes or until crispy. Spritz the frozen sticks with cooking spray before adding to the air fryer, and turn them once halfway through cooking. Or cook them the traditional way in a deep fryer preheated to 350° for 2-3 minutes. Our guide helps you deep-fry with confidence!
What sauces can you serve with mozzarella sticks?
Serve mozzarella sticks with pizza sauce, marinara sauce, salsa or even homemade ranch dressing!
Can you freeze leftover mozzarella sticks?
Yes! Let them cool, then transfer to an airtight container. Freeze for up to 3 months, then reheat them the same way you would if they were thawed. The texture of the cheese might be softer than when they were initially cooked.
